Melbourne Noisecore band with members from Super Fun Happy Slide, Umbilical Tentacle, Internal Rot, The Kill and various other bands Brad Smith & Nik Kennedy have been playing together as Holy Boner since 2006, gradually developing a mondo brutale noisemusical chemistry rooted in old-school grindcore/noisecore and punishing abstract noise. Over the years Brad & Nik have collaborated and experimented with lots of different people and sounds, adding everything from trombone to didgeridoo, piano, sax, extra vocalists and amplified bong bubbling into the noisecoring. In 2012 noisemaker and instrument builder Rod Cooper joined, and we decided to focus less on experimental deviations and more on the original vision of the 'Boner: TOTAL DEVASTATION NOISECORE inspired by our favourite noisy bands like Gore Beyond Necropsy, Arse Destroyer, Final Exit, and Last Days of Humanity, but with our own unique approach.
