Will Kennedy is 28 years old and is the only member of Hollowday who is a Nashville native. He has experimented with various musical styles for over 10 years, and a few years ago, he finally began settling into his own when he became part of Hollowday. He still listens to a variety of music and has a variety of influences. Wes Daniels is 24 years old and moved to Nashville from Alabama in 2005 after receiving a phone call from a friend who told him to come to Nashville because his ability to play and write melody would take him far. Wes wouldn’t really consider any of the music to which he listens an influence; he is more or less only inspired by his fellow band mates. He has developed what he considers his own style of playing. He is not a member of the shred club; listening to music is how he learned to play. He was taught by Adam Jones, Dime Bag, Stephen Carpenter, Head, Monkey and too many more to list. Once Wes met Will after moving to Nashville, he knew they would do something great. Wes and Will became the founding members of Hollowday about three years ago in 2005. They, along with Wes’s friend Daniel, decided on the band’s name after co-writing their first song, entitled “Everything,” and they quickly decided they might be on to something.
