Hogback is a VT based band that has roots in rock, jazz, funk, blues, and many experimental tastes. The guys came together as a performing band in 2004, and to this day still get together fairly often to craft original tunes and to maintain the playing skills required should the need or desire arise to play a gig. HB hopes to spread their excitement and enjoyment in the musical conversations that take place every time they perform because every performance is different than the next. It is also noteworthy that they enjoy cover song selections that fit the limits of their abilities, and each member draws from a wide variety of influences and sources of musical inspiration from a variety of time lines. Justin Meyette the guitarist has been playing guitar since grade school and and has always wailed, shredded, and ripped every guitar he's ever played. He also can play piano, bass, drums, harmonica, banjo, and mandolin. Andy Sutphen has played drums since he could walk, and every beat and every moment he plays he puts his heart into it, every time. He also plays percussion, piano, guitar, bass, and mandolin. John Bushey the bassist has also worked hard and focused his ability to rock out since picking up the bass in high school, and always puts his best effort into what he is playing to reap maximum enjoyment and expression within the music.
