There are multiple artists with this name. 1. HOEK, aka 19-year-old Amsterdam based Casimir Geelhoed, communicates through his music on a different level. His adventurous raw percussion and textures have a unique sense of depth and inventiveness. HØEK HØEK’s ingredients are as easy as efficient: guitar, bass, drums and vocals whirling up dust, which is blown by the wind into fields of Stoner Rock, Desert Rock, Heavy Psychic Rock and Doom. The propelling rhythm section is generating a groove that leads to a mutation from the foot-lame to the Travolta of Rock disco. HØEK was founded in 1996. They started as a four-piece. After having played some live shows they recorded a demo tape in 1997 including 5 songs (german lyrics). A little later the singer left the band and Robin started singing. HØEK’s first recording as a three-piece was released in 1998 - a split-EP only on 12" clear vinyl together with punk rockers Flickknife Dandy from Germany. Alessandro, Martin and Robin decided to record one track (’The Only Way Out’), which offers over eight minutes of Space-Rock. It already gave an impression of what was about to come up.
