Japanese singer songwriter born 24 December 1971 in Okinawa. Born in Naha City, she is the eldest of four siblings. While still a student, she began writing original songs and performing at live music venues in Tokyo. She debuted with Sony Music in 1997, releasing seven singles and three albums. In 2001, she moved to her hometown of Okinawa. Between 2004 and 2017, she released five albums with Happiness Records. In 2015, she released "RYUKYU STANDARD," an album featuring Okinawan songs, and in 2016, her first best-of album was released by Sony Music. Her latest work, "Kaze to Uroko," was released in 2017.
