Highest Sea carries us into the night on a wave of melancholic and dreamy noise pop. Behind the name is songwriter Leïla Zanzibar, whose bewitching vocals unearth stories of haunted hearts and, as the name suggests, the mystical allure of the sea. The band has recently evolved into a four-piece, featuring Theo Taylor on drums, Andreas Miranda on bass and Cristobal Jimenez van Cauwelaert on lead guitar. Their first EP, Haunted Hearts, was released in 2017 by Berlin label Späti Palace, with the debut album due for release in Fall 2019.
