Higher Fives is the only all-vegetarian, cat-loving, psychedelic-experience-advocating band in Johnstown, PA. They play loud, noisy, self-conscious rock songs about a loud, noisy, self-righteous world. Or maybe it's the other way around. One never knows. Their first album, Cystems [MIF201], was recorded live in an old church in the spring of 2011 and released on cassette in the summer of that same year. All three band members are part of My Idea of Fun, a multimedia artist collective with an emphasis on quantity over quality.
