High School Girls began as two 20-something-year-old guys in an awfully smelly basement, where they both vowed to make pop songs that made people happy. They wrote about love, girls, growing up, moving on, and of course surfing, and High School Girls went around town spreading as much happiness as they possibly could. Since then, an EP has been released, a Kickstarter was successful, the two-piece became a three-piece, and a debut full-length recorded, but the goal still hasn’t changed for these indie-pop boys.
