High School+ is a punk-rock band originally from Minsk, Belarus. The band formed in 2007 when lead guitarist Nick and bass player Alexi discovered a common musical chemistry, and decided to play some shows together. They were playing in different bands at the time, however, and it was only in the two months following the breakup of Nick's previous band, The Fix, that the band was created. The two connecting musicians found a drummer, and started practicing as a band in a small practice studio. The owner of the studio liked the sound, and booked a show only a month away. A week before the show, the owner was working on promotional material and called Nick to find out the band name. They first started with "High School", but then saw a logo that read High School with a small + sign below it. Realizing that all their first experiences went down in high school and all later experiences were a positive, they decided on the name High School+. The band then had its first show at a bowling club for a group of around 30 people. Soon after, the band did a short demo recording. Nick was saying, "We did five songs in only three hours. We played it like we play live, and then we overdubbed the vocals. It was our worst recording since everybody was still hungover from the night before." The punk rock trio was dormant throughout the summer of 2008, but then went on the road in Ukraine in the fall. After the tour, the drummer developed some time restrictions, started missing some practices
