Crushing tuned down Sabbath-like guitars married to pure piss & vinegar serving as a fitting soundtrack to George Orwell's "1984." Formed in the summer of 2012, Hidden Amongst Us is comprised of New Yorker's Michael Grgas on guitar & Ken Colosa on bass, vocalist/SoCal native Evan Michael Mentone and Kentucky-bred drummer Joseph Yabao. Even though HAU may be new to the Los Angeles scene, the members have more than paid their dues in prior bands opening up for the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Sepultura, Danzig, Sevendust, Machinehead, Jesus Lizard, 30STM & Five Finger Death Punch. Brought together by a mutual love of tuned-down, massive riffs from bands like Soundgarden, Black Sabbath & Alice In Chains and a common bond in their general disdain for today's society & everything Orwellian, the four realized they needed an outlet and HAU became exactly that. Taking on topics such as conspiracies, government, revenge, betrayal, love & hate, their D.I.Y. 3 song demo delivers a quick taste of what the band has just begun to offer. The group is currently in pre-production and set to record their debut EP this fall. Stay tuned.
