The Legenday Hi-phoniqs were a R&B music collective from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Around the beginning of this millenium The Hi-phoniqs rocked their own brand soul music. Hip-Hop met Funk met Gospel met the 80s and ska and they all began to rumble. Singers Curtis Santiago and Ian Alleyne handled the lead vocals and most of the song writing. Joined by background vocalists Orville Cameron and Angela Roy. They incorporated 3 and 4 part harmony seemlessly on top of grooves laid down by Guitarist Arun Bhaumik, Drummer Fred "Freddy B" Brenton, Ian Alleyne also playing keys, and Moni Mathew on bass, later replaced by Jay Cairns. Belted By Gamma Rays was the bands 2nd release and showcases the broad reflection of their influences.
