Hi-Fly Rangers was formed by Vesa Haaja in the spring of 2006. Other members are Kari Kunnas on guitar and Jake Lähdeniemi on double bass. Band's repertoire is based on old classic rockabilly and hillbilly numbers . They also write songs that blend well together with the classic rockabilly style. Band looks forward to keep on making more good music and perform it live all around the world. Their first release " Hot Rod Ride To The Moon" (from Goofin Records) is a good example of their talent as song writers and performers in roots music genre. Vesa is also known for his other bands Barnshakers and Whistle Bait. He started his career as a bandleader with Whistle Bait over twenty years ago and they are still going strong. Barnshakers has established itself as one of the most skillful and stylish 50's rock'n'roll bands in the world and is often seen performing on stage in world's biggest events for 50's music . Kari has been playing guitar since the early eighties and at the same time as Vesa´s Whistle Bait was coming together, he and Vesa had a band called Frantic Four which did some demos, including a version of classic "I'm Left You're Right She's Gone ". This song will now be released as Hi-Fly Rangers' version on their upcoming cd " Hot Rod Ride To The Moon". Kari plays also in Daryl Haywood Combo and was earlier a guitarist in Phantom 409.
