Hi Jinx

Hi Jinx was a short-lived Dutch punk / new wave band, active in 1980 and 1981 in Utrecht, The Netherlands. They released a 7-inch single and a 12-inch EP before quietly disappearing, but the band is an interesting footnote in the history of Dutch music, because three band members later gained prominence in very different genres: frontman, bassist and songwriter Gert van Veen became a house pioneer as Quazar, drummer Erik de Jong achieved fame as Dutch-language pop phenomenon Spinvis and guitarist René van Barneveld later joined the internationally successful Urban Dance Squad.
