Pablo Ilabaca and Felipe Ilabaca started playing and writing music together at a very young age, having been brought up in a family of avid music listeners. In 1993 the brothers started the band Chancho En Piedra with their childhood friends Lalo Ibeas (vocals) and Toño Corvalan (drums), with Felipe on bass guitar and Pablo on guitar. The band proved to be very successful and soon kicked off into international fame. Pablo and Felipe proved to be a great duo in their band's songwriting department and soon took to a broader music spectrum, making music for projects like 31 Minutos, Pillanes and Jaco Sanchez. However, in 2018 Pablo decided to leave the band to focus on his solo career, being replaced with C-Funk. Chancho en Piedra continued on until 2023, having stated their need to take an "extended break". Pablo and Felipe continued to collaborate, but they didn't continue to write music together until August 2022. The brothers played a few gigs on pubs again for the first time in a couple years and decided it was time for a reunion, just the two of them. The new album saw the light on November 2023.
