Artist
West Yorkshire based folk guitarist and songwriter, Henry Parker draws on traditional and progressive aspects of folk music from the 1960's and 70's. An intricate fingerstyle technique brings to mind the playing of Bert Jansch and Nick Drake whilst the lyrical influence spans themes of the environmental, political, personal and of landscape. His debut album Silent Spring (self-released 2019) was met with great acclaim by the folk-press with dutch magazine Heaven stating that "With Silent Spring Parker knows how to translate the psychfolk of the past particularly beautifully into this time. One of the most impressive debuts of the year." User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
