Henri (Roizman) was born in Hoscht, a shtetl near Rovno, in what was then Poland and now is in the Ukraine. He emigrated to Buenos Aires and was married to and often performed with Rosita Lodner. He was a very popular international Yiddish Star throughout the world and a great favorite of Art Raymond on WEVD, the Yiddish station in New York City.
