Hellz Army is a trio, consisting of The Tyrant, Tense and Nevermind, based in New York City. Previously, the band members had been releasing vinyl as FUHD on the Industrial Strength Label. Their music comes from the New York hardcore techno scene, and is always pushing the frontiers of heavy distorted cut up beats, incorporating blitzkreig variations of gabber and breakcore. They also have a strong fondness for samples of heavy metal guitars, and have even done remixes for actual metal bands. The group is constantly DJing individually across the U.S. and has been over to Europe for gigs several times. They consistently release a small pile of records each year on a variety of labels, including their own imprint, Apocalypse Recordings.
