Hello Control started in 2006 when Ryan Hayden and Mikey Lemieux went to see Milo Marnes play a show in his band United Mess. Blown away by Milo's ability to sing and perform, they both knew they needed to write music together. After Milo agreed to write songs, the band quickly started writing and recording songs. Before playing their first show, the band recorded a 5 song EP with Tim Lynch at The Recording Company. The tracks quickly caught fire in the band's local town of Plattsburgh, NY. Their first show had a line of 300 kids waiting to get into a church basement. The band started playing as many shows as they could regionally. In 2008, the band struck a deal with Hot Topic to be the first band that would offer their EP as a free download on hottopic.com. The band began to play in-store performances to help promote the download and the sale of an exclusive Hello Control merch on sale in their stores. From there, the band signed a deal to do the same thing in the Canadian store D-Tox offering a free download of their EP along with a new track called "Hear You Sing" which was co-written by JP Clark from Young & Divine and now 7715. The band ended up dissolving in 2009 when Ryan and Mikey decided to join as band members in Jayce's band Secret Secret Dino Club. Even though the band has remained mainly inactive over the past decade, they have opened for The All American Rejects in 2012, released the single "Lose My Mind" in 2014, as well as released a 10 year anniversary Del
