There are at least 2 artists with this name: an all-female heavy metal band from Ljubljana, Slovenia and a rock ‘n’ roll two-piece from Johannesburg, South Africa. 1. Hellcats is an old school heavy metal bend from Slovenia and is the first all - female metal band from there. It was formed in Ljubljana in 2003 by sisters Sasha Zagorc and Sonja Zagorc who have started to perform together in their childhood, when they were still in music school. Sasha was studying classical guitar and Sonja flute. Later on Sonja switched to drums and they formed a girl band. Due to the small size of Slovenian music space it wasn't easy to find many female musicians. Members: Sasha Zagorc, bass, backing vocals Sonja Zagorc, drums, backing vocals Katja Mavec, guitar The quartet loves to perform on big stages and had many gigs in clubs and participated at many festivals as Metalcamp, Viva la Pola… Hellcats recorded their first single “Heavy Metal” in the beginning of 2010.
