about

Getting together in 1998 between dual vocalists/guitarists Chris Zerby and Julie Chadwick, Helicopter Helicopter took shape in 1998 with drummer Ned Gallacher and a number of revolving bassists. Based out of Boston, MA, the band would bring out a power-pop sound that would be compared to the Fastbacks and the Replacements upon the 1998 release of their first album Squid’s and Other Fishes through Lunch Records. After a brief U.S. tour, a second album entitled Analog and Electrical Fields (Lunch Records, 1999) and the permanent installment of bassist Shawn Setaro, Lunch Records continued the band’s discography with their third album, By Starlight, in 2001. Singer/guitarists Chis Zerby and Julie Chadwick later formed Hello Dragon User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
