Artist
New York soul vocalist, Helena Ferguson, is best known for her first release, 'Where Is The Party?' (1968), not just because it was a minor hit, but also as it is supposed to feature The Ohio Players (uncredited) as the rhythm section. It’s a pleasant tuneful ballad to be sure, on which Helena’s rather mannered vocal style comes across very well. A strong piece of uptown soul. Ferguson only released a handful of 45s in the late 1960s. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
