Heavy Early is a pop punk/alternative rock band from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada. They have been playing basements, bars, and bowling alleys across the maritime provinces since late 2014. Influenced by bands such as (but not limited to) Chumped, RVIVR, Latterman, and Sonic Youth, their songs are about the misadventures of lost 20-somethings trying to navigate a world that they don't fit into. The band released a four song demo in April 2016 through Bread Press in Halifax, NS on a limited run cassette. Most recently they have been recording their debut five song EP, "Pretty Good You," at Echo Chamber in Halifax with the punk mastermind James O'Toole, which will be released September 22, 2017. In May of 2017, the band released an entirely fan shot video for their song "Wildlife" and are set to premiere their next video for their song "You Said This Would Be Fun" on June 22. Both songs appear on their upcoming EP. Likes: Dogs, cats, professional wrestling, Dungeons and Dragons. Dislikes: Jabronies, suits, the patriarchy.
