Heartsnatcher is a synthesizer artist, using bass guitar, external computer and everyday noise to create illuminating and intense live sound scapes. Heartsnatcher is the stage name of Jos van Tol, who has also drummed with punkrockbands, jazzgroups and bigbands, and more recently with psychedeli-pop group Jacco Gardner. Most of the programming for his debut album were written in the back of their tour bus. Heartsnatcher released his debut album 'Triumph Without Euphoria' on Friday, September 12th 2014 at Blowpipe Records, in an international artist residence and gallery in the Dutch town Hoorn. His music is a critique to the music industry, foremost in the sense that the industry and musicians in general tend to focus more on production than on the passion of music making itself.
