Hailing from Albany, New York, Hate Club formed in early 2017 after Audrey Goodmote (vocals, guitar) and Noah Bondy (guitar, vocals) met by chance in a local cafe. Within 24 hours, the first official Hate Club song was written, and soon after, the band released their first EP, No, Seriously - a collection of energetic tracks, exploring themes like anxiety and regret. By summer 2018, the band continued gaining traction and making a name for themselves, both among their local music community and beyond. They embarked on their first-ever tour, added drummer Ian Kerr-Mace to the lineup, and made their trek to SXSW. With a full band and significant experience under their belt, the quartet began to record their sophomore EP, A Clear Mistake (on Fivekill Records), to kick off 2019. The band seamlessly blends together upbeat riffs with Bondy and Goodmote’s captivating melodies over shared vocals, showing off their talents as both songwriters and performers, all while highlighting their exceptionally close band relationship.
