Raised in Liberia and currently residing in Chicago, Hash Blink brings a much needed global perspective to his personal brand of hip hop. And although he is young, he has shown a gift for storytelling and lyricism that defies his age. Since emerging with his first releases in 2019, he has quickly attracted the attention of his hometown scene. Now, he is poised to take the hip hop world by storm. Born Thomas B. Sherriff, Hash Blink spent his youth in Liberia. Music provided him with a window to the rest of the world, as he spent his childhood absorbing everything from heavy metal to smooth R&B and pop. Discovering hip hop however, proved to be a major turning point in his life. At only thirteen years old, he decided to dedicate himself to a career in music. Within no time, he started performing everywhere he could. From street corners to the halls of his school, Hash was always rapping, developing the intricate skills and charismatic persona that would later define his career. At age seventeen, Hash Blink knew he would need to leave home to realize his full potential as an artist. With little more than a passport and an unstoppable desire to succeed, he set out for Chicago, one of the hip hop capitals of the United States. He found himself right at home in the city, and quickly set about turning his vision into reality. With his first official release in 2019, Hash Blink announced the arrival of a major new talent.
