Writer & Independent Artist, Hasan 'Atiq' Robinson produces, records and makes records under several names. Officially on his own label "Required" (city hall) in 2005, though he released his first record in 1998. Now, prepared to release ‘Bil Basmala - On The Edge Of Forever’ in 2013. Will hopefully bring the well deserved acclaim for this artist and producer, who has been at it for a few years now. Eclectic Soul Music + Electronic Blues In Left Field Bil Basmala, aka Hasan Robinson, evolved onto the west coast underground hip - hop scene in 1998 with an L.A produced Record Usephasan - Chemistry Teraqueous (Pomo & Amani Smith). It wasn't until 2005 - 2010 did he finally come into his own with 6 additional records as Autolect, which included deep blues and abstract hip - hop rhymes. "After Autolect, Between God And THe Deep Blue I took a giant step back and recorded with Fanatik (planet asia, rasco, stones throw) as The Mononauts. That Monoverse album is lyrically the penacal of what I was trying to articulate as an emcee. Though, there is still one more level I would like to achieve after that."
