Their music is a mix of southern rock and funk with influences from traditional country and blues. The band was founded in 2013 by Rafael van der Wel (vocals, guitar), Jeroen Voogt (guitar) and Niels Molenaar (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals). By combining different styles trio traveled directly though the basis for their own recognizable Harvest Road sound. Looking for a rhythm section with swinging shuffles and tight backbeats to pave the "Road". "In 2014 Jos Zuiderwijk (drums) and Robert Verkade (bass) joined the band. And now they were ready to hit the road! In July 2014 Harvest Road released a self-titled debut EP. This contains three self-composed songs with texts by Rafael van der Wel: 'Gambling', 'Light Up' and 'I Should've Known'.
