about

harmony & decay started out as a personal challenge for both of us, to see if we could produce something so minimal and honest. We are professional musicians, and in our 'day job' we play a lot of notes. Really fast and really loud. We are both into prog, rock, pop, classical, fusion, (insert busy note style of musician's music here), but play pretty much play ALL styles of music. For us, the ambient music is really about making the most with the very least, and in that we find a certain finesse that is alluring. We do this as a hobby, as it allows us to filter out the busy lifestyle that permeates our existence every day, get back to the basic roots of sound as opposed to notes.
