The Happy Particles began after the release of the second Text Adventure record 'I Believe in Lassies' in late 2007/early 2008, in the west end of Glasgow. Once that was done and dusted, Steven was free to devote his time into putting some of the ideas that he had built up over the last 2 years (under the usual bedroom introspection type circumstances) into properly arranged songs. In doing so he called upon some friends to help him out. The band now consists of Steven Scott (guitar,vox,piano,laptop), James Swinburne (saxaphone, flute, guitar,laptop) and Gordon Farquhar (drums, vox, percussion), with a few other people in the pipeline to help out. They are currently recording an albums worth of songs and perhaps contemplating practicing for some gigs in the coming months.
