Hans-Christoph Rademann (born 1965 in Dresden) is a German choral conductor and university lecturer. Rademann grew up in Schwarzenberg/Erzgeb. He gained the first musical experiences and impressions through his father Rolf Rademann, who led the local Kantorei. He received lessons as a teenager in violin and piano, and from 1975 to 1983 was a member of the Dresden Kreuzchores. After completing school, he studied until 1990 at the Musikhochschule Dresden Chor- und Orchesterdirigat. He gained further experience in many classes with Helmuth Rilling and Philippe Herreweghe. Since its founding in 1985, he has conducted the Dresden Chamber Choir. From 1991 to 1999 he was the artistic director of the Academy of Music in Dresden. From 1999-2004 he served as choir director of the NDR choir. From the start of the 2007/2008 season Rademann took over as chief conductor in addition to management of the RIAS Chamber Choir, which he had already led several times as guest conductor. Rademann continue as a guest conducter with leading vocal ensembles such as the Collegium Vocale Gent, the National Chamber Choir of Ireland and the radio choruses of ARD-Anstalten. In 1994, Rademann received a prize from the city of Dresden. In 1997 he made his debut as an opera conductor at the Saxony Theatre with Mozart's "Abduction from the Seraglio."
