about

Hannah Mae (real name: Hannah Schoonbeek, born 16 November 1998 in [placformed]Emmen, The Netherlands) is a Dutch singer-songwriter, who transformed from an English-singing country pop artist (her debut single, 'Back to You' came out in October 2019) into a Dutch-singing pop artist, from her single 'De Kerkstraat' (September 2022) onwards. Signed to Ilse DeLange's Spark Records, her full-length debut album Rode Draad, is set for a February 2025 release. Hannah Mae has had two major chart hits in Belgium, duetting with Flemish pop stars, notably with Metejoor in 'Wat wil je van mij' (#2 in Belgium in late 2022) and with Maksim in 'Ik wil dat je liegt' (#1 in Belgium in May 2024). The Dutch public got to know her as the opening act for popular Dutch acts such as Suzan & Freek, Acda & De Munnik and Racoon - and as a participant in the immensely popular Beste Zangers ('Best Singers') TV show from September 2024 onwards.
