Max Roden is the man behind the monikers Hankat, Ham N Cheese and Moxy Street. Max is the son of Leif Roden, a Danish seventies rock musician and sound engineer. Max found his own nose for composing when he started playing with his dad's old equipment in his teens. By the time digital workstations came along, the young Beat-Root had found his way into producing hip-hop beats for friends, and by age 20 he was recording and producing albums for some of the finest artists on the danish underground hip-hop scene. The following years he kept up the pace and with production partner Victor Lydby by his side - Mavix Productions was a big part of more than 3 critically acclaimed albums and a handfull of mixtapes. While still in high school Max started flirting with the idea of electronic music, doing collaborations with classmate and current Fabric resident Peter Pixzel, and it didn't take long before he found himself completely in love with House & Techno. Still doing productions on demand for hip hop artists and recording aspiring singers at the time, the electronic music became a hidden passion and it wasn't until 2003 before it surfaced when discovering that long time friend Jesper Prehn (Chesperito) shared his passion.. The two Danes formed the minimal techno group Ripchord, forging their own sound, and as one of the only groups at the time in Denmark, their uncompromising raw & churning beats quickly became popular on the danish underground electronic music scene.
