Hangover Sunday is a Dutch band that originated in Helmond (south part of the netherlands). The bandmembers consist of Martijn van der Sanden (vocals, guitar), Dirk van Duijnhoven (lead guitar), Joris van Laarhoven(bas, backing vocals), Mark Verlijsdonk (synths) and Marc Bruijn (drums). 2007-2009 Hangover Sunday was called 'Pleasant Dreamer' for a really short while. Martijn and Mark started to look for other musicians around town. They quickly added Dirk to their band and Joris soon after that. Dirk used to play in a metal band called Misfire. Rens Fransen played the drums in Misfire and wanted to join Dirk's new project. Rens eventually came up with the name 'Hangover Sunday'. Everyone was going out Saturday night and the band rehearsed on Sunday. Almost everyone had a hangover (on) sunday. When Rens started working as a pilot, Hangover Sunday found a new drummer in Marc Bruijn. 2009-2010 Hangover Sunday is working on new material and recording their debut album. Releases are scheduled to be finished somewhere in 2011. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
