Born into a musical family—his father being a French horn player for the London Symphony Orchestra—Halogenix's journey into music was practically predestined. After exploring various instruments and styles, he found his niche at 170BPM, where he could explore, innovate, and push boundaries without constraint. His ascent began with a notable appearance on Noisia's Invisible imprint with 'Askari' shortly after debuting his beats in 2011. Subsequently, he co-founded the acclaimed D&B collective Ivy Lab in 2012, contributing to groundbreaking tracks such as '20 Questions', 'Baby Grey', and 'Thirsty'. Ivy Lab's impact extended globally, influencing the halftime movement and launching the careers of several artists. Parallel to his work with Ivy Lab, Halogenix maintained a dynamic solo career, marked by releases on Critical Music's Systems series and a debut EP on Metalheadz titled 'All Blue'. Notably, his collaboration with drum & bass legend Goldie on 'Broken Man' showcased his versatility and innovation.
