Hallway is a German shoegaze/indie rock/folk band from Munich which formed in 2022. Members: Vocals & Guitar: Alma Tyroller Piano & Synthesizer: Luzia Tyroller Guitar: Kathrin Schiener Bass: Felix Ferle Saxohpone & Piano: Zoë Eser Drums: Lorenz Amesbichler Biography: Around 2020 Alma began writing her own material, recording first demos at home using GarageBand. Wanting to bring the songs to a stage, she soon formed a band with her sister Luzia Tyroller on drums and their school friend Felix Fehrle on bass. Under the name Alma & June, they played their first shows in the summer of 2021 in their hometown of Ingolstadt. After relocating to Munich, the project found its footing in the city’s independent music scene, performing at venues such as Import Export, Zirka Space, Milla Club and Kafe Kult. Along the way, later in 2022, they connected with a circle of young musicians, including guitarist Kathrin Schiener, drummer Lorenz Amesbichler and saxophonist and pianist Zoe Eser, who have since become full members of the band. As the project evolved from a solo endeavor into a fully collaborative band, Alma & June was renamed Hallway in 2022. Each member brings a distinct musical background, some shaped by jazz, others by classical training. What unites them is a shared affinity for indie and alternative music, and a desire to translate personal experience into songs that feel immediate, fragile and alive.
