There are at least three projects called HAK. 1. Hakeem Lewis, former member of New York hip-hop collective Ratking. Hak's only solo album so far, June, was released in 2016. Hak was originally an art student who did not like music; he was encouraged to perform by Wiki. 2.Hugh Gilmore, Kyle Strohmaier, Andy Coldwell, and Zach Dimond make up the Twin Cities blues and rock band HAK. Formed in 2002, the name "HAK" is derived from the initials of the founding members of the band. Audiences are often surprised at the maturity of sound produced by the young musicians of HAK. Influenced by artists such as The Allman Brothers, Cream, and Steely Dan, the band released its first album, entitled In Too Deep, on May 19th of 2006. Their sophomore album, Greg Minds Think Alike, was released early 2007.
