Hüsnü Arkan was born in 1958, in Kınık, Turkey. He started studying architecture in Ankara in 1975, but after three years, he had to quit school due to the political and public disturbance that the county was in. Later on, he graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Law School. He has always been interested in writing and music. He was arrested in 1982 and spent some time in prison due to political issues. Later, he escaped to Greece, stayed in a refugee camp for some time there and then went to Amsterdam in 1985.He stayed in Amsterdam for 8 years and formed a band there. They performed in various cities in Europe. In July 1991, Hüsnü Arkan released his first solo album, "Bir Yalnızlık Ezgisi". He joined the band Ezginin Günlüğü as singer and songwriter in 1993 after meeting Nadir Göktürk, the formed of the band. His first contribution to the band was their album "İstavrit", which signalled a change in the band's style with the influence of Arkan's songwriting and vocal style. Hüsnü Arkan stayed with the band until 2010 and contributed greatly to the band's 10 albums in these 17 years. After leaving the band Ezginin Günlüğü to pursue his solo career, Hüsnü Arkan released his second solo album "Solo" in 2011. Later on he released two more solo albums: Yalnız Değiliz (2013) and Kırık Hava (2015). Various musicians (such as Birsen Tezer, Cem adriand and Rubato) contributed to Arkan's solo album "Kırık Hava" with their vocals and instrumental performances. Hüsnü Arkan also releas
