There are two projects under this name: 1. Gyves (Minimal Synth / Darkwave, est. 2012) Gyves is an electronic project existing at the intersection of Minimal Synth and Darkwave. Based on a strict no-DAW approach, all music is composed and performed exclusively on the Roland MC-505 hardware. The sound reflects a state of uneasy sleep, where rigid industrial rhythms dissolve into ethereal, haunting textures. The discography documents a gradual shift in sound: • Haze (2014): A skeletal debut rooted in 80s Minimal Synth and Cold Wave traditions. • Lamb in Drunken Crowd (2016): A move toward Post-Industrial and Heavy Darkwave, with emphasis on visceral rhythms, corroded textures, and oppressive structures. • 2025 — Return: After several years of silence, the project resumed active work and is currently developing a third studio album. 2. Gyves (Black Metal, est. 2023) A melodic black metal solo project from Sweden, blending piano-driven emotional melodies with traditional black metal elements.
