Born in Montreal, Gwendolyne K first began learning the piano at age 4 with her father's help. At the same time, she began to regularly sing at church under his direction. At the age of 9, she was admitted to Italmelodie Music School for violin lessons until the age of 17, where she entered Vanier College in music performance on classical violin in 2007. In 2005, she experimented with an electronic keyboard and composed several lullabies. Two years later, she discovered computer composition programs and decided to approach her music with more popular and electronic sounds. In the last year she began to compose under a more jazz/chillout/pop sound. In 2009, she began to play the violin with ensembles as well as orchestras and performed all around Montreal. She also joined the Metropolitain Orchestra choir which performs regularly at Place des Arts with the orchestra. Since September 2010, she is studying at Université de Montréal in general music on classical violin.
