Born In Rio de Janeiro, March 1969 the Drummer, percussionist and musical producer Guilherme da Cunha Kastrup took a taste in music after knowing Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. After that he got contact with sounds of Pink Floyd, Jazz, brazilian instrumental music of Naná Vasconcelos and Hermeto Pascoal and the Brazilian Popular Music of Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil and many others who served as influence in his own music. Since 2005 the musician keeps with the percussionist Simone Sou the project SOUKAST, the duo is a partnership in compositions with traditional drums, sound objects and electronic elements, constituting the equipments of "percuteria" ( instruments of percurssion attacheds to a set of a dismembered conventional drum kit) who conducts to a rythms encounter and sound textures inspireds in the experiences of brazilian popular culture.
