Artist
New music from Growsound can be heard on www.soundcloud.com/growsound. Growsound is John Lubushkin from Orange County, Califronia. He produced and recorded his first album with Open Grave Culture in his home recording studio in 2007 with his best friends Chad and Brent providing vocals and turntables, respectively. This was also the birthplace of his first self-titled album as Growsound over the following two years. The album is a survey of ambient textures laden over heavy drum breaks, with help from Chad and Brent once more, as well as Nocturnal Dirt People singer Chris Wakefield and Generous, Generous, Alzir!. Although the album was never officially released, the track Wet Highway was featured on the Bad Panda blog, in a Canadian dance video, and in a featured compilation on a large free-music network. The entire album remains freely downloadable from bandcamp. Growsound is currently making music abroad in Saigon, Vietnam.
