Starting out DJ'ing breaks in 1999, Grizzla has been in and around the scene through its many changes which can been seen and heard in his dj sets. Playing anything from funk-fuelled booty shakers to jungle-influenced bassline breaks, his Dj'ing style has brought him many admirers within the scene. In 2003, starting out on the then new internet radio station www.dynamicbreaks.com, Grizzla soon came to the attention of the undisputed no. 1 Breakbeat station in the world, Breaks FM, who quickly took him aboard to partner Collins 303 for a new Saturday radio show. It didnt take long for Grizzla to start making his mark within the breaks community when in 2004, he and DJ Quest started hosting the now legendary Breaks n Mortar parties at 3rd Base @ The Mass, Brixton, featuring acts such as Atomic Hooligan, The Freestylers, Deekline, Ellis Dee, The Breakfastaz, CTRL Z and many more. After the club management started demanding more money, the night was forced to shut down, but fear not!! Breaks n Mortar shall return soon!!! (watch this space) During 2005, Grizzla started writing and producing his own material which has culminated into him being signed by the infamous Unstable Label along with the likes of awesome new talent such as Hoffman, D-Ranged, Rektchords and MkM & GBX. His first song, Bodyhammer is scheduled for a June release with Pablo Beatz and Psure rmxs and has already charted in DJ Mag's breaks and Beats chart at no. 20.
