The band was formed in 2005. After some changes, the current line-up emerged, with Peter Žargi on vocals and keyboards, Irenej Mesiček on the guitar, Jure Baloh on the bass guitar and Bor Gregorčič on drums. The positive feedback that they were receiving throughout the first two years of creating material, recording demo songs and occasionally giging, encouraged Grimmski to head to the studio and make their first album. Choosing the right producer was a no-brainer, as the band had wanted to work with Peter Penko for some time; several months later, Random Saviour was finished. The band had previously been in talks with a couple of record labels, but after giving it some thought, they decided to publish the album themselves in order to retain as much artistic freedom, rights and control over distribution as possible.
