GrimLake officially began in 2012 as the solo project of Mathieu Legros, a french musician based in Paris. His influences are quite large but artists like Sigur Rós, Hammock, Mogwai, Caspian, The Album Leaf, Collapse Under The Empire, Explosions in the Sky or The American Dollar seem to be his main source of inspiration for this post-rock project.
