Artist
Clive Gregson (b. 4/1/55) and Christine Collister (who knows... but sometime after that...)toured and recorded in the 1980s and 90s, playing mostly folk clubs and festivals. Underpinned by Gregson's Paul-Simon-crossed-with-Morrissey songwriting, the duo mixed intricate guitar arrangements with amazing close harmony. Gregson and Collister both worked with Richard Thompson before going duo. Gregson is currently re-releasing these on CD, starting with their first album, 'Home and Away'. Originally made on a four-track plugged in to mixing desks at folk clubs plus the odd home demo, it's been consistently popular amongst fans. Since splitting, Gregson's moved to Nashville and continues to write, play and record, most recently with Nanci Griffith. Collister's moved into jazzier areas and continues to perform mostly in the UK. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
