Dublin, Ireland (1975 - present) Gregory Harrington is a solo violinist. He studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music with Kevin Kiely, at the Mannes College of Music under Sally Thomas, and later with virtuoso violinist Erick Friedman. He has performed throughout the world as soloist from Carnegie Hall & Avery Fisher Hall in New York to the South Bank in London and as far afield as New Zealand. His debut CD “Reflections” in November 2005 received critical acclaim in the press and was "Critics Choice" in Newsweek magazine which garnered a comparison to legendary violinist Ithzak Perlman. In January 2010, Harrington will release his second album with Estile Records in the US (available internationally in February 2010). The CD features the music of renowned Scottish composer James MacMillan. Harrington holds a degree in International Business and Spanish from UCD Dublin. Away from his musical career Harrington is an avid supporter of tennis, Irish Rugby and Manchester United.
