There are at least two artists with the name "Greg the Hero". 1. A deathcore/death metal band from Iowa. 2. Greg the Hero is the moniker of 22 year old Greg Apple Graham. He intends to release 10 LP's in the space of one year, totalling over 100 songs. November 2008 saw the release of The Perfect Combination Of Imperfections, his first full length release, clocking in at 42:48. Full of orchestral flourishes, it features the singles The Heat Is Off , Looking Glass and Ubiquitously Absent. Released within a month of the début, Prose Before Hos was recorded in its entirety on 9th December 2008 and released later that day. As a contrast to 'The Perfect Combination Of Imperfections', the album features acoustic guitar and a single voice in each track, not the layering of harmonies normally present in Greg's music. Lyrically, it deals with far more emotive subjects and for the most part its not the happiest collection of songs, covering death, lost love and deception. A week after Prose Before Hos saw the release of Christmas Cash In , recorded during the fortnight before Christmas 2008. A collection of twelve originals, traditionals and instrumentals all crafted with a hint of Christmas cheer / dismay, it featured the singles Eve, Warmth In Snow, Christingle and Adventus. After a few months of silence, April 16th saw the release of Acoustic 2009. It was recorded after a few beers using first takes, as live with one microphone and no overdubs.
