A high school friend of Jackson Browne, he released his first album 'Revenge Will Come' to critical acclaim in 1982, but commercially the album failed. After a long hiatus, Copeland resurfaced in 2008 with his follow-up entitled 'Diana and James'. Copeland has been a successful songwriter. He wrote the song "Candy" which Jackson Browne covered on his album "Lives In The Balance", and co-wrote some of Jackson's early songs with him such as "The Fairest Of The Seasons" which was on the Nina Demo and Nico's album Chelsea Girl back in 1967. He co-wrote "Buy for me the Rain" with Steve Noonan, which was a huge hit by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, also in 1967. Copeland resurfaced in 2008 with his follow up titled 'Diana and James'. 2) Greg Copeland (born Gregory Andre Copeland) is an American blues and soul singer. He released "Brown-Eyed Handsome Man" in 2019. He has also led various outfits including the Greg Copeland Band and Greg Copeland & The Brothers Of Soul.
