The Oregon Green Garter Band is an elite group of 12 members (two alto saxophones, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, three trumpets, mellophone, two trombones, electric bass, and drum set) that specialize in playing arrangements of popular songs. The GGB plays at many sporting events throughout the year as well as other university events. The competition to get into GGB is high, and therefore it contains the best players from the University of Oregon athletic bands. Each member receives a scholarship for full instate tuition.
