Great Solar Stance are: Mark Miller - drums Bryan Bienias - bass, vocals Matt Schneider - guitar, vocals Great Solar Stance is a Chicago area 3-piece metal band that originally started back in 2000 and was active until late 2002. During that time, they released a 3 song demo, contributed music to the Notes From The Real Underground 4 compilation by Invisible Records, and played many gigs - the last of which was at the now-defunct Reilly's Rockhouse in Aurora, IL. During a five year hiatus, they all somehow managed to successfully avoid male pattern baldness, morbid obesity, and impotence. Matt kept busy by playing in the prog-metal band Catamount, as well as firing up a solo career and whoring himself out to a couple of other projects. Bryan also did the much of the same, playing and touring steadily with the ballz-rock band Cougars and contributing bass to Catamount's 2006 album Public Displays Of Private Delusion. Mark wisely bettered himself by earning a master's degree at U of I, as well as playing drums in the riff-tastic hardcore metal band Twenty Four Frames. Since reforming in early 2007, they have played steadily around the Chicago-land area. 2008 marks the new beginning; new music and a new face on the Chicago metal scene... http://www.myspace.com/greatsolarstance User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
